Privacy and Policy
arsip is a macOS app for organising your personal documents and the processes they belong to. It is built to be private by design. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your data.
The short version
Your documents never leave your Mac. arsip has no servers and no account system. Everything you add — scans, files, names, notes, processes — is stored only in arsip's local storage on your own device. We cannot see it, and no one else can either.
We don't track you. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no profiling.
The only data that ever leaves your device is feedback you choose to send.
What we collect
1. Your documents and data — stored locally only. Documents, scans, file metadata, tags, notes, processes, and their relationships are saved on your Mac (in the app's sandboxed storage). They are never transmitted to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
2. Optional feedback — only if you send it. If you use the in-app "Send feedback" feature, the following is sent to the developer: the message you write, your name (optional), the app version, and your macOS version. This is used solely to fix bugs and improve the app. It is delivered through Formspree (our form processor) to the developer's email. We never include your documents. See Formspree's privacy policy.
We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily include it in feedback.
Third-party services
Formspree — receives feedback messages you choose to submit (see above).
Buy Me a Coffee — if you tap the "Buy me a coffee" link, it opens an external website operated by Buy Me a Coffee, governed by their own privacy policy. arsip shares no data with them.
Apple (App Store). Apple provides standard, aggregate analytics and crash reports for apps downloaded from the App Store, per Apple's privacy policy. This is handled by Apple, not by arsip, and isn't linked to you by us.
How your data is stored and secured
Your documents are stored locally on your Mac within the app's sandbox and protected by macOS's standard file protections. Because nothing is uploaded to us, there is no remote database that could be breached on our side. You can export your full library at any time from Settings → Storage → Export library.
Purchases. arsip Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. Payment is handled by the App Store — arsip never sees or stores your payment details. The app receives only an anonymous confirmation that your Apple ID owns the purchase, used to unlock Pro features. Your membership card (a "member since" date and a number derived from Apple's transaction ID) is generated and stored locally on your device.
Data retention
Local data stays on your device until you delete it (within the app, or by removing the app).
Feedback you submit is retained by the developer only as long as needed to act on it, and you can request its deletion at any time (see Contact).
Your rights
You control your data. You can view, edit, export, or permanently delete any document at any time inside the app. For feedback you've sent, you can request access or deletion by emailing the address below.
Children
arsip is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.

FROM OUR BETA TESTERS
Built with real feedback.
Every feature in arsip has been shaped by people navigating visas, taxes, residency, and everyday paperwork.
Tried the Arsip app (made by @muhraufan ). I don't even know that the "boring" tasks like this can be packed with a beautiful design and workflow. Can't wait to see the public version!

Trying arsip app by @muhraufan . Been looking for something like this to organise my documents. The UI has some really nice details and the flow is very intuitive. Much better than google drive. Looking forward to see the final version!

Had a chance to try Arsip and I’m impressed. The interface is incredibly clean, everything feels intuitive, and managing documents across processes is surprisingly smooth. It feels like a native macOS app done right.
